Earlier in class, I showed you a brief video called "Why I read". Personally, I found it to be an awesome video! It showed everyday people being interviewed on why they read...and the reasons given were pletiful. Some read for pleasure, to be awoken, to immerse themselves in a fantasy world....whatever the reason is fine!
Anyway, in my explorations, this video was just the first in a series...isnt that great? It is sort of like when you read a good book, and then find out there are three more parts!!!
Anyway, enjoy...and as always, let me know what you think!
Part I - "Why I Read"
Part II - "If You Could Be Any Literary Character, Who Would You Be??"
Part III - "What Book Have You Recommended Most?"
Part IV - "Who is Your Favorite Author?"
Part V - "What Literary Characters Do You Love or Love to Hate?"
Enjoy!!
Wow.I have already explained why I read.Reading is like music for me.I have no clue what I would do if it wasn't around.Of course,(Me being obssesed with music),I read everyday while I listen to music.I acctually think it makes it even better. In the sad parts,You can put on a sad song,And it makes the story even better. While your seeing the movie in your head,You can pause someties and just have music playing to how the mood in your story,And start to think "Wow...Music just makes it all better" Haha : )
ReplyDeleteGreat connections! You are certainly a different type of learner than I am...I need silence when I read, or else I cant visualize anything. No interruptions, no background noise, nothing. Some people work better with music, some work better with their hands, some work better by themselves, some better in groups. Knowing "how you learn" is a great tool to have as you move on in your education!
ReplyDeleteI know this is random and has NOTHING to do with that but are we allowed to bring Ipod's and stuff to listen to music with in to the class>?Cuase like I said,I read better with music and today I got really fustrated cause I couldn't read or write really good.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your reasoning, but unfortunately we cant have iPods in the class...for a few reasons. Some people would want to use them for reasons that are less than productive, and the rule is consistent for the whole class. Secondly, I dont want something to get lost/broken/stolen while at school!
ReplyDeleteOk.Lol because I jsut wondering.I meant to ask you in class but I kept on forgeting. Thanks anyway
