Hope everyone had a good library period today! I learned today about a bunch of new things...the new Elmer library search engine is terrific! You all did a fantastic job with your scavenger hunt!
Here is the link for the Elmer library page. It is great that you can use it at home as well to see if certain books are checked in and such. I know that the library will soon be getting a good amount of new books, so be sure to check back soon!
Additionally, Mrs. Salisbury has started a blog for the Elmer library, here. You should head over and say hello!
Have a great night - and keep reading!
(BTW - the links for both the search engine and Mrs. Salisbury's blog can also be found on the right under "classroom links".

"Turkey Ham"
Allright, as I did research online (yep, no life...), I found that Turkey Ham is more common than I originally thought. Mainly it has two purposes:
-Provide a "ham-like" experience for people whose religion precludes them from eating pork products; and,
-Provide a healthier "ham-ish" product that tastes like ham, but is healthier turkey.
So, it is a poultry product, made from turkey, then flavored and smoked to taste like ham. So, there you go.
Enjoy your chicken nuggets tomorrow.

Reminder - Math Quiz Tomorrow

That includes:
3-1 - Representing Decimals
3-2 - Comparing and Ordering Decimals
3-3 - Rounding Decimals
If you have been paying close attention, you should do fine. You should be familiar with the different forms of a fraction (standard, word, expanded), how to compare and order decimals (line them up vertically) and finally, how to round decimals to certain decimal places.
For additional help, head over to www.msmath1.net and try some additional problems out. Good luck!

Some neat facts-
- There have been over 500 visits to the site
- There have been 71 "unique" visitors, meaning that 71 different people have visited.
- We have been visited from 5 countries - United States, Canada, Brazil, England and the Netherlands
- Someone spent 65 minutes on the site in one visit. (I'm thinking they left the computer with the site up)
Remember, I have control over comment posting...I need to give it the OK before it goes on the website. I encourage everyone to post and share their opinion on subjects, but remember that anything inflammatory will not be posted. I dont mind if you disagree with me, or something I post...heck, I might post something to get a rise out of you and get you thinking. But, please keep it appropriate and respectful.
So, a thank you, and a reminder, please follow the Golden Rule.
